Yangon- Golden Rock -Bago-Yangon ( 4 days Tour)

Day 1- Arrive in Yangon

Arrive in Yangon and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon visit the world famous golden Shwedagon Pagoda, a breathtaking and colorful sight visited by Buddhists from all over Myanmar. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2- Yangon

A full day tour to discover the colorful capital of Myanmar with a close look at the local life of this historical city. By car and partly on foot this tour takes you to the National Museum, the Sule pagoda in the center of the city. Walk around the Mahabandoola Park to see the colonial courthouse and the city hall. From there a rickshaw tour around the colonial area with the historical buildings will start, breaking at a local tea shop to enjoy Burmese tea and the typical atmosphere. Continue by rickshaw along the famous Strand Road and visit the bustling Yangon harbour. In the afternoon, visit Kaba Aye pagoda dedicated to the peace in the World and the Maha Pasuna cave where the sixth Buddhist synod took place in 1952. Visit nearby a traditional jewellery and gemstones workshop to observe the cut and polishing of Myanmar most precious stones including the famous pigeon-blood rubies.

Day 3- Yangon- Golden Rock

After breakfast,Yangon in the morning, enjoy a scenic journey by road to Kyaikhtiyo, 190km to the east. One of Myanmar's great pilgrimage sites is the Golden Rock at Kyaikhtiyo, a huge boulder covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. The pagoda at the Golden Rock is said to hold a hair of the Buddha. Late morning, arrive at Kyaikhtiyo base camp and transfer to the transit junction with one of the small open trucks in a 1-hour ride.

Lunch at local restaurant.

Evening enjoy the unforgettable.

Day 4- Golden Rock - Bago- Yangon

After breakfast at the hotel, take the open truck from golden rock upper camp to base camp and then meet the private air-conditioned and enjoy a scenic journey by road to Bago. Bago is an ancient capital of a former Mon kingdom dating back to the 6thcentury. Sightseeing in Bago includes the beautiful 55-meter long reclining Buddha, Shwethalyaung, and the Mon style Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of the most venerated in Myanmar. Its spire stands 114m high and is taller even than the Shwedagon Pagoda. Also visit the well-restored former palace Kambozathadi. End the tour of Bago with a walk around the colourful Bago Market. On the way back to Yangon, visit the Allied War Cemetery near Htaukkyan, the final resting place for over 27,000 allied soldiers and then transfer to the airport
